It doesn't make sense anymore
I think the world is ending
So come watch the sky shatter with me
I'll be whenever we meet
What are you feeling?
Are we gone?
What do we do now?
For how long?

I sit on the hot beach sand
My eyelids are as transparent as glass
My body doesn’t realize the futility of its reflexes
So I force myself to bear the burning sensation as I lay down
And I sway my limbs
Leaving behind me the silhouette of an angel
Then I jumped into the river
I didn’t resist when the currents tried to take me
Flowing just as fruitlessly as their airborne cousins
I stop at a rock cluster on the edge of a waterfall
And I sit down on a slippery moss-coated stone
Thinking about the beautiful melancholy of everything
Now that we are all about to be gone forever
The hill across the river, half-consumed by erosion
The old tree atop it, barely hanging onto its last roots
The running water that flows through my fingers
The river itself
The beach
The sky
Everything
The universe speaks
In a language more precise than any human tongue
I can feel my body shaking
As it relays me messages I unexplainably understand

I am now sure of what I already instinctively knew:
That I am the hill
The tree
The water
The beach
The sky
And we are nothing
And time is no more
